Cruising

Please note that launching is only available to club members.  Please also be aware of the Crouch Harbour Authority requirements.  A link to their informative website is given below.

Casual sailing from Creeksea affords the dinghy sailor a number of advantages which cannot be found elsewhere in Burnham.

Launching is easy with a gradual gradient to the slipway which is accessible at all states of tide and the dinghy compound is level and free from mud or obstacles.

There are few moorings to be concerned with making launching and recovery easier, and picturesque picnic spots and beaches are within easy reach.

The club is situated in an attractive position with several scenic walks along the River bank and over the surrounding countryside.

For the more adventurous the River Crouch provides safe cruising up river to Hullbridge and beyond, whilst for those searching for a challenge, it is possible to circumnavigate Wallasea Island.

This area is currently the subject of a major new "Wetlands scheme" and this area will form a fascinating wildlife habitat.
